Yow-Ting Hsieh is an emerging pianist born in Taipei, Taiwan. As a pianist, she has performed in numerous concert venues such as at the Phiharmonie Mercatorhalle Duisburg, Kaiserpfalz Goslar, Stadttheater Hildesheim, Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr Bochum, the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus in Friedrichshafen, Germany, Stadttheater Lindau, Germany, Kulturzentrum am Münster in Konstanz, Germany, Teatro Jofre in Ferrol, Spain, Chinese Culture Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, YAMAHA Hall in Milan, Italy, Teatro Comunale San Teodoro, Cantu, Teatro civico in Varallo, Italy, as well as Brescia, Sacile, Monza and a variety of other cities in Italy. Furthermore, she regularly gave concerts at Gesellschaft für Musiktheater Wien.
She has performed as a soloist alongside orchestras such as Bochumer Symphoniker under Maestro Tung-Chieh Chuang, Loh-Orchester Sondershausen under Henning Ehlert, TfN-Philharmonie Hildesheim under Panagiotis Papadopoulos & Achim Falkenhausen, and the INSO-Lviv Orchestra under Alexander Zemtsov.
In 2017, she won a major prize in the International Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria. As a result of her exceptional play of Brahms' Paganini-Variations & Brahms's 1st Piano Concerto, she also received the award for “special prize for an outstanding performance of Brahms’ piece”.
She was officially enrolled into the Taipei National University of the Arts as a result of her outstanding performance and achievements in 2011. During her time in university, she spent one year in Austria studying at Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität. In 2015, she continued her studies at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien in Vienna, where she received her Master’s diploma as well as the Certificate of Performance with excellence under the guidance of Prof. Klaus Sticken.
In 2022, She obtained Konzertexamen Zertifikat with distinction at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Germany under Prof. Henri Sigfridsson(The Winner of The Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn, Germany)
She has also been inspired by various masterclasses, including those with Ingolf Wunder, Arie Vardi, Cyprien Katsaris, Bernd Goetzke, and Alexander Jenner.
As the founder of MustListen Studio, a current piano lecturer at Taipei ChinShin Academy and serves as a collaborative pianist for the Taipei European School Staff Social Community Choir, she continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians.
